It has become stylish to call one self secular. Now I find that confusing. Secularism as a concept is applicable to states not individuals. As an individual you can be an atheist or religious but not secular. Its like gender. You are either male or female. As a male, I should respect females. That makes me a gentleman but I do not become a man and woman at same time or a person without a gender. Being a gentleman, I still remain a man. Same is the case with religion. I am a religious hindu and who lives and wants to live in a secular state. It doesn't make me communal , it only makes me a person who is proud of being a descendant of Hindus. Please don't embarrass yourself by calling yourself secular trying to appear liberal.An individual calling himself secular is like saying I don't differentiate based on gender, so sometimes I use gents toilet and sometimes ladies toilet. It does not make you a gender sensitive person, it only makes you a big idiot.
