Lucky to have witnessed these masterpieces at Lakshmi Vilas palace , vadodara and Maharaja Fateh Singh museum. Kudos to amazing audio guides available at these sites.. Spent almost 5 hours at these places and feel I could have spent a lifetime there admiring his works. Luckily, no cameras are allowed inside so no time was wasted in taking photos but was spent in appreciating the legend of Raja Ravi Verma and great Sayaji Rao Gaekwad III. I am putting images from Google but you must visit these places to witness what is one of the greatest treasure of our Indian culture.
What I think? I will let you know here.. Listen to the voices from my heart

witnessing the legend of Raja Ravi Varma
Raja Ravi Verma was from Kerala, patronized by a king from Gujarat who was originally from Maharashtra. He was asked to paint indian mythological characters like Radha and Sita who had connections in northern India UP and Bihar. Raja Ravi Verma paints them in Maharashtrian sarees and that's the image we indian have of Maa Saraswati, Maa Lakshmi , subhdra and Radha since then.. No one even objected why Radha, a Gopi from Vrindavan is shown wearing a Marathi attire. May be this gives us a hint of inner bond we share in Bharatvarsh. That's the reason all indian imagination of Indian godesses in nothing but what Raja Ravi Verma imagined them to be like.
