Spoiler alert.. If you haven't seen movie Pushpa , you can wait to read ahead till you see the film. Go , watch the movie and come back.. kyonki jo aaj mere ko kahna hai woh main kahne se rukega nahin..
Pushpa movie has a running theme of lineage and family. Protagonist is humiliated repeatedly by his adversaries for not having a family surname. In the climax, Pushpa strips SP Shekhavat and himself and says that even without clothes, I am still Pushpa and people will respect me. However without the police uniform, SP Shekhavat will have no respect. He further says that respect comes from inner virtues not the accessories you wear like branded clothes.
This scene has a message for bollywood. They should think if they are like Shekhavat whom even his dog won't recognise without his uniform. So dear bollywood.. What will be bollywood without Manish Malhotras, foreign locations and Shamelss PR agencies. Nothing.. because you are left with no content. All you have now is remixes and remakes .. so while you are so busy in remixes and remakes, what you should really do is Rethink.
Forget making Pushpa, you did such a shody job of even dubbing it.. Still the movie beat your alpha fim 83 by an inning and 250 runs in an ODI. Because despite all its flaws, Pushpa is raw. Pushpa has made its own brand and doesn't derive its value and appeal from external accessories. It is an Indian film where every element in the film is indian and it doesn't look like a wannabe Hollywood film. That's why it works and works like magic.
No doubt, movie pushpa has flaws. But atleast those flaws are also flaws of our indian society and are not borrowed and imported flaws. Hero suffers from issues that a boy in average indian society faces, that's why people relate to him. So either you mend your ways and accept and celebrate your indian roots or else perish.
Kyonki Pushpa with its inner brand and ruthlessness, tere saamne kabhi jhukega nahin. One more thing, with this OTT thing and acceptance of South Indian cinema after Bahubali, yeh tera remake wala dhandha bhi jysati chalega nahin..
