Fly doves but feed hawks too

26/11 is not an ordinary date. While we cherish one of the most treasured achivements of post independence india if not the most treasured achivement, i.e. our constitution, we also remember that biggest terrorist attack on our civilians post independence.

Today is the day to remember that there should be no compromise on internal and external security. Gone are the days of traditional warfare where armed forces used to declare war and fight in open with integrity and dignity. Now warfare has transformed and expanded into cyber, economic, social, political turfs. Society which fails to recognise these threats proactively is doomed to perish and suffer. 

Our threat centers are not very far, it's across the border and inside our homelands. It's all desirable and perfectly fine to fly the peace doves but equally more important to keep feeding our hawks to pick on any potential threat.

We might have hung one Kasab, but Kasab building mechanism is on as usual. May be with higher vigour than ever. 

 These are very important things relevant to everyone. In case you feel that you are happy in your bunglow with a plum job and kids studing in a nearby school, and hence need not worry about these matters. Please remember that this life and it's amenities are available given the guarantee to a safe and stable nation. If nation is not safe, these things vaporise like water on a hot pan once nation falls to barberians. In case you can't visualize it, image yourself as a women University lecturer from Kabul, who has not got her salary in months, her kids are banned from attending School and her big bunglow in Kabul is not worth a hut anymore.

Let we forget. And yes, when any player  says that sportsmanship has won, most likely he has lost the match. I get the same feeling when I hear the often repeated but irritating phrase that terrorists can't beat the Spirit of Mumbai. Any reference to this 'Spirit of Mumbai'  only means that we have suffered another attack and are nonchalant about yet another bastards putting their feet on our land .
