JNV alumni meet 2023

As we strolled down the memory lane at our Katihar Navodaya Schools for this grand alumni meet, it was like maneuvering through a maze of nostalgia – dodging the ghosts of bad haircuts we all received by the government barberlr, sidestepping fashion faux pas, and doing our best to erase those cringe-worthy teenage dramas. But hey, we were all in this together, so buckle up for a rollercoaster ride of hilarity!

Strolling through those revered halls felt like stepping into a time warp – a place where hairstyles were questionable, and fashion sense was, well, a bit sketchy. If those walls could talk, they'd probably say, "Remember that time you thought shirts with crease and full pants with plated creases were the epitome of cool?" Yeah, those were the days. The multi purpose hall was really multipurpose but on Sunday in served only one purpose. Running a Bollywood movie of VCR where 400 students watched a 14 inch color television.

Reconnecting with old buddies was like attending a comedy show where the punchlines were our shared teenage antics. The belly laughs and eye rolls were in abundant supply as we exchanged stories of epic fails, failed live stories and unknown crushes... Talk about a blast from the past!

Entering the classrooms felt like gate-crashing a reunion of dusty textbooks and slightly out-of-date chalkboards. Our teachers, the unsung heroes of our academic escapades, must have been sipping chai somewhere, chuckling at the thought of molding our young minds. Big shoutout to you, dear educators, for enduring the rollercoaster that was us! Seeing our teachers healthy and happy filled our hearts with joy seeing them enjoying their retirement life peacefully.

And let's not forget the hostel rooms – those cramped spaces that bore witness to everything from impromptu dance-offs to failed attempts at making the perfect cup of chai. The walls, if they could talk, would probably say, I am still here, it's you who left.

In that reunion, we weren't just counting the years but also the number of times we collectively embarrassed ourselves. The laugh lines may have been more pronounced, and the metabolism slower, but our ability to find humor in the shared craziness of our youth remained evergreen.

So, here's to 25 years of surviving bad hair days, questionable fashion choices, and desi-style teenage adventures. As we attacked the food plates once again after 25 years, we raised a toast to the hilarity that was our shared past and the comic gold that awaited in the future. ☕ #DesiReunionDelight #Nostalgia #Navodayans
