We call our god Lambodar which means one with large belly. Our sage were named Ashtavakra means who were deformed in eight organs. Bhagwan Krishna derives his name from his dark skin and his muse was called Kubja. Demon was called Shoorpnakha means the one with large nails. Our superstar is called Lambu ji. Everyone has a friend nicknamed Chasmis, Motu and Chhotu. Lady were named based on their body odour and called matsya-gandha. We called our tormentors Firangi, a name which was again based on their skin colour. Even good names like mrig-nayni, kamal-nayan, karpur-gauran are based on physical appearance. Mahadevi called her cow Gaura, And Chaintnya Mahaprabhu was called Gaurango.
Examples are numerous. Point is that we have lived with it and it is a part of us. Either you accept it and stay happy as we have been so far. Or call it body shaming like westerners and keep getting offended. Choice is yours.
